These lovely little Russian nesting dolls were a gift to my mother from a lady from our church who recently passed away. The color is quite subdued which I found interesting because most are more vibrantly painted. I find them a bit more charming for this reason.

As children, my sister and I would play for hours with our globe. Each of us has yet to leave the continent however.
Pippa is patiently waiting for my sister and dad to come home from their deer hunt this morning. We are both crossing our fingers, hoping for a kill. We're hungry!
This is a raw piece of copper is from the copper mine where my dad works. I like the area with the patina; soon enough it will look like a brontosaurus turned Statue Of Liberty green.
