There are very few events that would get me up at 5AM on a Saturday morning (or any day for that matter) including family emergencies and limited edition designer collections. Today, it happens to be the latter.
Number 30 in line at the Scottsdale H&M, I hit the ground running when they let my group into a little corralled area of the store loaded not with thoroughbreds, but cheap couture rather. They handed out cute tote bags with a pretty pink wool scarf and a ribbon flower pin seen above, I assume as consolation for waking up before the birds.
If my bank account would allow, I'd have bought a few more items to sell on eBay. As luck would have it, there was only enough for 2 pieces. These shoes are really sexy with rhinestones at the top of the heel & a raw-edged ankle ribbon... my favorite is the dustbag.
It is a wonder how inexpensive the collection was, considering the thoughtfulness put into the packaging. How awesome is this garment bag?
Where the Wild Things Are. I have been wanting a fur coat ever since the Chanel 2010 Fall/Winter debut. Yes it's faux fur, and it was only $150 and has a nice satiny lining.
Also, the button closures and trim are a nice little touch on the muppet jacket. It is almost as multi-colored as my hair!
Luckily for those of us who were in the dismally short line, "fashion died in Phoenix", as a mom who was shopping for her daughter said. Not to exclude men, even my sorta boyfriend got a piece of the Alber Elbaz genius thanks to his mom who did his fashion bidding. Meticulously organized, definitely a lot of fun, and totally worth waiting for, many people walked away very happy campers.
