After reading an article in House Beautiful magazine about the contents of different interior designers' medicine cabinets, I started thinking about my own and how I can streamline it. Relatively low-maintenance if I do say so myself :) My favorites are the Frederic Fekkai Summer Hair Spray (for just-came-out-of-the-beach tresses) and the Avon Anew Rejuvenate Night Serum.
Does anyone even have actual "medicine" in them anymore? Since the lighting and moisture can actually break down the agents that make the meds effective, you should chuck them into your pantry or linen closet. Same goes for perfumes & fragrances, so I store those in my bedroom bureau. Just something to think about because you know that people peek in there when using your restroom.
This is a collection of old buttons that my nana gave me recently--she has plenty more too! But I was so excited because they always fascinated me as child and would play with them for hours.
My favorite part of browsing in Barney's is their Cire Trudon candle collection. All you do is smell the glass dome encasing it... heaven. My choice scent is the Carmelite candle, just read the description:
Cire Trudon Carmélite (Old Mossy Walls) Candle is the perfume of old stonewalls. In the shade of cloisters and convents, this scent of fresh and mossy stone tells us about the black and white silhouettes of sisters moving in the silence of ritual mass. Under the light of votives and psalmody, Carmélite refers to the peace of souls and eternity.Fragrance Notes: Head: orange, armoise. Heart: rose, geranium, spices, iris. Bottom: patchouli, sandal, Virginian cedar.
After all, I am a die-hard romantic!
